La Prothèse Amovible Complète Supra Radiculaire Evaluation De La Pérennité

Résumé: Les difficultés liées au traitement du patient édenté total ainsi que les doléances liées au port de la prothèse amovible complète, ont tant préoccupées les praticiens et les ont poussées à la création de nouvelles alternatives thérapeutique. En 1960, dans un congrès à LAS VEGAS, la prothèse amovible complète supra radicualaire a été proposée pour la première fois, par le docteur CHARLES BOLENDER, afin de prévenir l’édentement total et pallier les ennuis liées au port de la prothèse amovible conventionnelle tel que le confort, la rétention et tant d’autres… L'objectif de notre travail est d’évaluer la pérennité de la PACSR en analysant les résultats d’un ensemble d’articles au travers d'une revue de littérature.Les conditions d’hygiène buccodentaire, le nombre des dents piliers et les limites cervicales en supra-gingivalesemblent favoriser la longévité des restaurations qui va de 5 ans au minimum jusqu'à plus de 15 ans.Abstract The difficulties related to the treatment of the totally edentulous patient as well as the complaints related to the wearing of the complete removable prosthesis, have both concerned the practitioners and have pushed them to create new therapeutic alternatives. In 1960, in a congress in LAS VEGAS, the root supported overdenture was proposed for the first time, by doctor CHARLES BOLENDER, in order to prevent total edentulousness and alleviate the troubles related to the wearing of the conventional removable prosthesis such as that comfort, retention and so many more… The objective of our work is to evaluate the survival of the overdenture by analysing the results of a set of articles through a literature review. The oral hygiene’s conditions, the number of abtuments teeth and the cervical margin in open denture design all promote the longevity of restorations from 5 years to at least 15 years.
