Abstract

Résumé : Les orthodontistes sont confrontés à un nombre croissant de patients médicalement compromis qui ont besoin d’un alignement correct pour l’esthétique et la réhabilitation orale. Ce travail porte sur les connaissances actuelles des maladies générales les plus courantes sur les résultats du traitement orthodontique. Heureusement, en orthodontie, les complications sont peu fréquentes et ont des conséquences mineures, néanmoins le praticien doit comprendre et avoir une connaissance et une compréhension de base de la maladie, et son impact sur la cavité buccale, car il est également essentiel de reconnaître les signes et symptômes buccaux de problèmes médicaux non diagnostiqués.Abstract: Orthodontists are faced with an increasing number of medically compromised patients who need correct alignment for aesthetics and oral rehabilitation. This work focuses on the current knowledge of the most common general diseases on the results of orthodontic treatment. Fortunately, in orthodontics, complications are infrequent and have minor consequences, nevertheless the practitioner must understand and have a basic knowledge and understanding of the disease, and its impact on the oral cavity, as it is also essential to recognize the oral signs and symptoms of undiagnosed medical conditions.
