Abstract:
The aim of this work is to study the possibility of using melon husks, in the
removal of Rhodamine B in water solutions. The results of infrared analysis
showed the presence of several chemical bonds on the surface. The value of the
pHzcp, then the assignment is experimental and 5.64 and the results showed that
the suction pump has an amphitheater.
Effect of changes in pH, primary concentration of colored material, and quantity
of substance (ratio x / y), on the ability of adsorption and then experimentally
proven
The increase in the amount of watermelon husks between 1 and 20 g / l negatively
affects the adsorption capacity from 24.87 to 1.05 mg / g at equilibrium. The
removal of the pollutant was observed to have the same effect in the acidic and
basal medium, Langmuir, Freundlich, Takin, and BET were used to achieve
equilibrium data. The Langmir model was found to be more suitable for
experimental data. It was also observed that melon husks showed a very high
adsorption capacity for Rhodamine B, in weak and high concentrations.
This study confirms that melon husks have great potential for adsorption, making
them an effective way to remove basic dyes such as RB from aqueous solutions
