Abstract:
Plusieurs écoles et auteurs ont proposé différentes méthodes pour déterminer la
dimension verticale en se basant sur des conceptions différentes. Notre recherche vise à
explorer et décrire les méthodes impliquées dans la détermination de la dimension verticale de l'occlusion. Les objectifs de cette étude étaient : expliquer les techniques utilisées pour déterminer la dimension verticale, décrire les causes et les conséquences des échecs dans la détermination de la dimension verticale, attirer l'attention sur les problèmes rencontrés lors de la prise de la dimension verticale, souligner l'importance cruciale d'une dimension
verticale correcte de l'occlusion dans la prothèse totale. Les données collectées auprès d'un
échantillon de 165 sujets dentés au niveau du département de prothèse et de parodontologie
ont fait l'objet d'une analyse statique. Les résultats de cette technique révèlent que 100
patients correspondent à la mesure utilisée (tragus externe-canthus 1), ce qui montre quecette technique est significative. En revanche, l'analyse des mesures du petit doigt n'est passignificative Abstract
