Abstract:
Herbal dietary supplements are becoming more popular due to their potential health benefits.
However, ensuring their safety and quality is challenging because of the variety of raw materials
and manufacturing methods used. This thesis investigates the safety and quality assurance of
these products, examining potential toxicological risks and current regulations and
manufacturing standards. A practical study was conducted to assess label compliance,
identifying fenugreek as the most commonly used plant. Subsequently, tests were carried out
on fenugreek to evaluate its antifungal properties, offering important insights into food safety.
