Abstract:
The objective of this work is the formulation of a cream based on extracts obtained by two
methods (maceration and hydrodistillation) for parapharmaceutical use. Two plants were
studied, namely: blue cardoncell (Carthamus caeruleus L.) and Cypress (Cupressus
semprevirens L.). The work is divided into four parts. The first focused on the optimization
of maceration by Box Behnken plan and extraction by maceration and hydrodistillation. The
second on the study of the cytotoxicity and the antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant
activity of the different extracts and essential oils (HEs). Finally, the third and fourth parts
focused on the development of creams, their characterization as well as the study of the antiburn
and healing activity In vivo. The results show that the prepared cream has very high
antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-burn and healing potential compared to standards.
