Choix et évaluation de la phase de remplissage du réseau canalaire

Abstract

Résumé : L’endodontie a beaucoup évolué ces dernières décennies. De nombreuses techniques de préparation et d’obturation canalaire nous sont proposées. Alors, quel choix pour l’omnipraticien qui doit pouvoir concilier tous les jours, efficacité, rapidité et impératif économiques ? L’obturation canalaire représente l’acte terminal de l’intervention endodontique visant à isoler le système canalaire du milieu buccal et du parodonte profond. Il est admis, aujourd’hui, que le matériau de choix pour réaliser cette obturation tridimensionnelle est la gutta-percha compactée, afin de permettre son adaptation aux parois canalaires ; l’herméticité étant assurée par un mince film de ciment.Abstract: Endodontics has considerablye volved during the past decades. Many techniques for shaping and filling root canals have been developed. What is the best choice for the general practitioner, who on a daily basis has to reconcile efficiency, rapidity and financial constraints? Root canal filling is the final step ofan endodontic intervention, the purpose of which is to isolate the canal system from the oral and periodontal environment. It is now generally accepted that the best material to obtain a three-dimensional obturation is compacted gutta percha, which enables the plug to adhere to the canal walls. Hermeticity is ensured by a thin layer of cement.
