    Enquété Ethnobotanique Sur Les Plantes Médicales Utilisée Contre la Covid-19.

    Due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus contamination in Algeria, prevention remains one of the most effective measures to take. The use of natural remedies can also be an alternative option to increase immunity, combat and prevent this disease. The purpose of this study is to identify and assess the frequency of herbal use by the Algerian population during this recent pandemic. To select the medicinal herbs used in traditional medicine to fight Covid-19, a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted over an extended period from January 2023 to May 2023. It was carried out in different regions of eastern Algeria .409 people participated in this study. The questions focused on participants’ socio-economic data and their perception of the use of herbs to prevent Covid-19. The results of this survey showed that a large part of the Algerian population uses medicinal herbs to protect themselves from Covid-19. Participants used 34 species from 21 families to treat Covid-19. In conclusion the use of medicinal herbs is common in Algeria; the combination of herbal therapy and conventional medicine could represent an alternative option to treat Covid-19 in the future.
