dc.description.abstract | Résumé De la réalisation de la première image dentaire en 1895, à l’évaluation céphalométrique 3D moderne, l’imagerie a connu mieux qu’une révolution, une évolution continue. En orthopédie dento-faciale, le praticien dispose d’un large éventail de techniques d’imagerie médicale (les radiographies intra-orales, la panoramique, la TLR, l’imagerie tridimensionnelle, la radiographie du poignet et de la main ouverte et l’IRM) pour l’aider dans ses différentes phases de diagnostic ou de suivi thérapeutique. À chaque type de clichés correspondent des critères de qualité qu’il faut respecter afin de tirer le meilleur de chaque image, éviter les artéfacts ou les images construites susceptibles de diminuer l’apport diagnostique et donc le service rendu au patient. Quelle que soit l’indication et le type d’examen, il doit toujours répondre aux règles de radioprotection (principes de justification, optimisation et limitation des doses).Abstract From the realization of the first dental image in 1895, to the modern 3D cephalometric evaluation, imaging has experienced more than a revolution, a continuous evolution. In dentofacial orthopedics, the practitioner has a wide range of medical imaging techniques (intraoral X-rays, panoramic, TLR, three-dimensional imaging, X-ray of the wrist and open hand and MRI) to help him in his various phases of diagnosis or therapeutic follow-up. Each type of image corresponds to quality criteria that must be respected in order to get the best out of each image, to avoid artefacts or constructed images likely to reduce the diagnostic contribution and therefore the service provided to the patient. Whatever the indication and the type of examination, it must always comply with radiation protection rules (principles of justification, optimization and limitation of doses). | en_US |
