To satisfy consumers' increasingly pressing need for natural products that are less harmful to health, and their interest is growing all the time. The aim of our work is to formulate an emulsion based on a natural product. Several in vitro biological tests on natural compounds were carried out to justify the choice of formulation. The results showed that plant tar is a natural substance that has all the properties needed to formulate an emulsion that reduces the symptoms of psoriasis (powerful antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal). The formulation optimisation is undertaken using the Box-Behnken design, to determine the optimum conditions for a minimum separation rate of 16.6% (oil phase ratio of 30%, Spam 80 concentration of 58% and Tween 80 concentration of 42%). The prepared emulsion complies in terms of pH, viscosity, emulsion type and homogeneity. This emulsion has potential application in the treatment of psoriasisen_US
