dc.description.abstract | This thesis focuses on optimizing the maceration extraction process of licorice roots to obtain extracts rich in bioactive compounds. The main objective is to formulate an effective cosmetic cream using these extracts for their potential skin benefits. The first part of the research work studied various maceration extraction methods, considering parameters such as choice of solvent, duration, and maceration conditions to maximize yields of active principles such as glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, and antioxidants. Once the extracts were obtained and biological activities were conducted, the second part of the project focused on cream formulation. Studies were conducted on the compatibility of the extracts with various types of emulsifiers and stabilizers to develop an optimal cream base ensuring the physical, chemical, and microbiological stability of the final product. Tests were performed to evaluate the dermatological properties of the formulated cream, including its pH, viscosity, and stability. Skin studies were also conducted to ensure safety for various skin types. In conclusion, this thesis highlights the effectiveness of maceration extraction of licorice roots to obtain concentrated extracts rich in bioactive compounds. The successful formulation of a cosmetic cream based on these extracts paves the way for new applications in the cosmetic industry, offering natural and effective products to enhance skin health and appearance notably with the addition of aloe vera for its moisturizing properties. | en_US |
