Abstract: In a context of growing interest in natural products, this work aims to promote pink turnip (Brassica rapa subsp. rapa), traditionally used in folk medicine to relieve coughs, by developing an antitussive syrup that meets pharmaceutical standards. The study is based on a dual approach: the extraction of the plant’s active compounds using modern techniques (maceration, ultrasound), and the formulation of a stable, effective, and industrially scalable syrup using natural preservatives. The galenic and physicochemical parameters of the product were thoroughly evaluated (pH, density, viscosity, turbidity), along with the impact of excipients, stirring conditions, and flavoring agents on the final quality. Strawberry flavor was selected for its good organoleptic compatibility, and the optimal formulation showed good stability over 7 days at room temperature. This project highlights the potential of Algerian phytotherapy to integrate into a modern scientific approach, combining traditional knowledge with industrial and regulatory standards in the field of natural health
