The main objective of this work is to valorize certain medicinal plants, namely: olibanum incense (Boswellia serrata), lemon (Citrus limon), and carrot root, as active ingredients for the formulation of a biphasic depigmenting serum. This project offers a natural, effective, and skin-friendly alternative while promoting the use of plant-based resources in cosmetic applications. The experimental part began with the selection and preparation of natural extracts. These extracts were analyzed physicochemically and biologically in vitro. The results showed that the extracts exhibited low antioxidant potential but a fairly good antimicrobial activity. Finally, biphasic depigmenting serums were formulated and evaluated according to various quality criteria such as organoleptic properties, sun protection potential, stability tests, and more.en_US
