dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this work is to evaluate the efficiency of urban wastewater purification by aerobic processes used at the Ibn Ziad treatment plant in Constantine. To ensure this objective, the quality of wastewater treated in the WWTP was monitored for three months from March 18, 2024 until May 26, 2024 by several physicochemical parameters (temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, hardness, dry residue, chloride, sulfate and nutrients). The results obtained revealed that some parameters of the purified water are in agreement with Algerian standards (temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, dry residue, chloride, sulfate, phosphate, nitrate and nitrite). On the other hand, other parameters exceed the permissible standards, such as ammoniacal nitrogen. The purified waters of the Ibn Ziad station have an important and hard mineral character.en_US
